Local Lodge 834 was granted a charter on March 31, 1942 under the name of Boeing Aeronautical Lodge No. 834. The petition was signed on May 15, 1942 by then International President H. W. Brown and Secretary Treasurer E. C. Davidson. The Local Lodge was built in late 1956. Some of the finest machinists in the world work for the Wichita Division of the Boeing Company. Local Lodge 834 currently has 600 members.
